A JOKE & A LESSON

For those who know me, know that I do not watch College Football at all. Any Fantasy Football analyst who claims they watch College Football, or know the players well, automatically discredits themselves as NOT an NFL Fantasy Football analyst, at least not a good one. There is too much to study week in and week out in the NFL for anyone to take on any other hobby, especially watching an entire other league at the same time.

However this NFL Draft the story of all stories was Shedeur Sanders. In fact, I watched two College Football games last season, the Championship game, and the Colorado vs. Colorado State game. All I got from the Colorado game (besides Travis Hunter getting hurt) is that Shedeur was blaming his offensive line, and that narrative seemed to stick from the tabloids rest of the year if I ever saw any about Sanders. Everyone started blaming his O-Line and wether it is true or not true, it is never a good look for a QB to blame anyone but himself.

Then I remember the time Shedeur flashed his watch to the ASU students after a win. To me that is cocky and arrogant. Then I heard stories about him focusing on rapping more than playing Football, and then late in the NFL season as I was watching the Tim Boyle tanking Giants wrap up the season, Sanders wore Giants shoes in a game because apparently it was the move the Giants were going to make is tank and then draft Sanders #1. Well the Giants won a game giving the #1 pick to the Titans, and they took Cam Ward.

Then as the draft was approaching I heard rumors that the Giants were going to draft Jaxson Dart, then I watched Jon Gruden interview Dart and he seems like the dumbest Gen Z moron I ever heard speak. Which by the way he is not going to last an entire NFL season as a starting QB in the NFL, they will murder him with the way he takes hit.

Then the Draft happened, and a Gen Z kid (Ulbrich’s son, who was the DC when Tim Boyle was with the Jets) prank called Sanders on Draft Day, only to apologize by misspelling his name in the apology. To end it all off, a video of the Cleveland Browns Dog Bone looked like a giant nut sack banging on the screen as the Browns finally selected Shedeur Sanders in the 5th round.

Everyone was screaming racism. While there is no doubt Sanders probably has more talent than a lot of the QBs drafted ahead of him. I do not think it was racism, a black QB was the #1 overall pick and there are a ton of black QBs in the NFL, many who were drafted in the last few seasons. What we have here is a case of entitlement and not being humble. There is no doubt Sanders is very immature as a person, and it is not just your typical case of immature. It is a case where it can be a parasite in the locker room, and that is a real issue.

When you look at Tim Boyle vs. Shedeur Sanders, you have two players that have talent. One goes about his business and is there to lift everyone up, even when it does not help him, like making sure Drew Lock is prepared to have a good game against the Falcons. Then you have another player who thinks because his dad is Deion Sanders that he can be a dick head to anyone he wants to be.

I do not know Shedeuer, I probably have seen less than 50 snaps from him in my lifetime. However I can tell by watching videos of him off the field that he is NOT humble at all. Not only is he not humble, he is ENTITLED.

This NFL Draft should be a lesson to us all. Be Humble, not Entitled.
