Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Alexander The Tate (Week 11)

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire:

Alexander The Tate (Week 11)

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

Week 10 saw a lot of concussions.  The biggest injuries were to Fred Jackson, who will miss at least one game.  The second big injury is to Michael Vick, who may have to call it quits on this season.  Let us not forget all the owners who got burned by Ben Roethlisberger and his injured shoulder.

PLAYERS TO ADD FOR WEEK 11

QB

CARSON PALMER – QB – OAK

If Palmer is on your waiver wire.  Add him instantly.  The Raiders are not going to be able to slow down Drew Brees, and the Saints will not be able to slow down Carson Palmer.  When you add the two together, you are looking at a potential top 5 game from Carson.

RYAN FITZPATRICK – QB – BUF

The Bills are going to have C.J. Spiller next week as their man and only RB.  While they will likely give him a full audition with his carry total, Fitzpatrick will still be attacking a pretty weak Dolphins Secondary.  With the game being in Buffalo, and with Fitzpatrick coming off of a 300 Yard game, and a near win against the Patriots.  Fitzpatrick is a good desperation play.

NICK FOLES – QB – PHI

This is your last resort.

If the Eagles offensive line can hold up, Nick Foles is a nice start.  He did have a great preseason, and he does have a big time arm which he showed off at the University of Arizona getting 400+ Yard games with ease.

This is also the same QB that has broken all of Drew Brees’ high-school passing records in Texas.  I would take a flier if your team is really struggling at the position.

RB

JAMES STARKS – RB – GB

The Packers should come out of the bye giving James Starks his chance to have a larger role. After getting 61 Yards on 16 Carries, they finally had an explosion that Alex Green was not giving them.  While the matchup against the Lions is not an easy one, Starks can still be counted on if you are completely desperate.

BEANIE WELLS – RB – ARI

While Beanie is not playing this week, he is a Must-Own player off the Waiver wire.  He will be the starting RB in Week 12 through the rest of the season for the Cardinals.  He is now 100%, which means he will be a Truck going forward.  He is fresher than nearly every starter in the NFL, and a big back like him that means good things ahead.

MARCEL REECE – RB – OAK

It is likely Darren McFadden returns Week 11.  Though we have all learned before, likely DMC returning from an injury is never a certain thing.  Especially with the fact that he is not going to be practicing to start the week.

JONATHAN DWYER – RB – PIT

It appears as of now that Dwyer is the RB for the Steelers moving forward.  Isaac Redman failed to build any momentum on Monday Night Football against a soft Chiefs team.  If Dwyer is the starter he has a very nice matchup on Sunday Night against a Steelers team that could run often if Big Ben is not the QB.

CHRISTOPHER IVORY – RB – NO

Ivory is back and ready to ruin all the Saints RB value.  While he is not the most dependable option, if the Saints give Ivory 8-12 Carries that would be more than enough to propel him to a RB#3 quality player.  The Raiders run defense has been good, minus the Doug Martin show in Week 9.  The way Ivory is running at times, nobody can stop him.  Call him Marshawn Lynch Jr.

WR

DANARIO ALEXANDER – WR – SD

Looking for the next exciting big thing at WR?

Take a chance on Danario as he has HUGE play potential and gives Phillip Rivers an option that can make him an enticing QB. Rivers is erratic at times, like the entire 2nd half, but when the matchup is right he is a good sleeper.  While Alexander is not an every week #2 WR, do not be surprised if he finds his way in your lineup from week to week.

GOLDEN TATE – WR – SEA

We all thought he was just a player that caught a hail mary against the Packers on Monday Night.

Now he is a player that has two consecutive two TD games.  As long as Russell Wilson is making smart decisions and being an effecient QB, Golden Tate can quickly sneak up as a WR #3.  Seattle has a bye, but expect them to come back with a passion as they make a run at a wildcard spot.

BRANDON LAFELL – WR – CAR

Oh no he didn’t.

Oh yes I did.  Brandon LaFell is softly back on the Fantasy Radar with Cam Newton having a matchup against a semi-good matchup against a Bucs team that does give up passing numbers.  While LaFell is anything far from a safe start, he is good for the extremely desperate as his concussion problems is a thing of the past.

TE

SCOTT CHANDLER – TE – BUF

With Donald Jones hurting, and the Bills on a short-week.  Look for Scott Chandler to immediately be thrusted into the #2 option in the Bills passing game, with not a true #3 threat behind him.  The game against the Dolphins should be a nice one for Chandler.  Dolphins Pass defense does not pose as a threat, and we just saw Jared Cook score a TD against them on Sunday.

K

Rankings are not finalized. There will be a sleeper on your waiver wire when the Rankings are done.

D/ST

You can start picking and choosing from this list.  If you want a good one week option.

COWBOYS – D/ST – DAL

The Cowboys are starting to play a lot better defensively  and now face a very weak Browns team at home.  If there was a week to start them, this would be it.  There actually could be plenty more and I would add this group with confidence for Week 11 at the very least.

  1. Would you drop E.Sanders for D.Alexander or G.Tate? My other WRs are S.Johnson, D.Amendola, T.Young, V.Cruz and D.Avery.

  2. If Big Ben is down for any amount of time, I would gamble on Alexander.. Alexander is Rivers answer to Vincent Jackson…

  3. What about Ronnie Hillman?? He seems like a solid RB w/ huge upside. Mr. McGahee/ Butterfingers might just get benched

  4. Need a little help deciding who to drop for Beanie and/or D. Alexander. (2qb starting format)

    Tom Brady, NE QB
    Matt Ryan, Atl QB
    Steven Jackson, StL R
    Willis McGahee, Den R
    Reggie Wayne, Ind WR
    Marques Colston, NO W
    Denarius Moore, Oak W
    Antonio Gates, SD TE
    Buccaneers D/ST D/ST
    Matt Bryant, Atl K
    Darren McFadden*, Oak
    Steve Johnson, Buf WR
    Jason Witten, Dal TE
    Rashard Mendenhall*,
    Hakeem Nicks, NYG WR
    Marcel Reece, Oak RB
    Andre Brown, NYG RB

  5. Amendola is a FA in my League. Considering dropping Austin or Maclin for him. Considering the ammounts of Targets hes getting it feels like hes a safer choice compared to these uneven producers.

  6. Snowman, McGahee not getting benched any time soon. Would prolly take another COUPLE glaring fumbles for that to happen.
Hillman does look nice, but he’ s not gonna do much this year, barring injury obviously.

  7. Take Danny over Maclin right now. If you’re in a ppr league that’s a no brainer. I assume you’re not if he’s available in the first place.
Maclin did appear to be Foles’ go-to on Sunday..might be a chance to get SOMETHING..better than Vick at least

  8. @David Surely you could drop someone else besides Austin or Maclin, I would keep hold of those guys or at least try to use them to upgrade at another position via trade

  9. I would add him over Brown or Mendy. Brown has solid upside, but Beanie is more of a sure thing. Mendy just isn’t running like he used to.

  10. I need a QB if Vick or Big Ben doesn’t play. Do I go with Foles over Sam Bradford, Phillip Rivers, and Matt Schaub who are also available?

  11. I think you go with Schaub this week. Jags D hasn’t been too hot against the pass for most of the season. With the Jags offense looking pretty terrible, their D will be on the field a little too much. Foles is a big unknown, but high upside against a terrible Skins pass D. I’d stay away from Rivers and Bradford for this week as they face decent pass D’s.

  12. N a standard league should i drop anyone to get beanie or Alexander? This is my team
