GIVE YOU A HEINICKE FOR A DIME (Week 2)

Thursday Night Football Week 2 has historically offered very boring matchups. We have seen the Bengals plat the Browns, we have seen the Jaguars play the Titans. We have seen a ton of bad matchups on Week 2 Thursday Night Football.

The programmers and directors did not fail again as they got a NFC East divisional class with the two teams that had a chance of making the playoffs last year. Giants @ Redskins.

Last week the Redskins defense was not all that special. They let Justin Herbert do whatever he wanted, the running game also found little resistance. Luckily for the Redskins D, Herbert was not great at converting in the redzone, giving the Redskins a legit chance of winning last week. Daniel Jones is definitely no Justin Herbert, but he definitely has the weapons in the passing game to have a similar performance. Saquon Barkley is nowhere near 100%, and without vintage him against this very talented Redskins D. Seems like we are going to a get a very inconsistent Giants offense. Not good for the short turnaround as well.

The Giants defense is very underrated, the same can be said about the Redskins offense. Heinicke gives the Skins an extra boost of Magic that Fitzmagic can offer them. The ability to create something out of nothing, the ability to take that deep risk even if it is not there. All those things sounds like traits of Fitzmagic, but the truth is Heinicke emulates a young Fitzmagic in that way. Giants Run D is strong but Antonio Gibson does appear to be matchup proof.

In the end we have two great defenses, and two good offenses that are both underrated, but also sloppy. Should be an ugly Football game, but the home team has the advantage.

SAQUON BARKLEY UNDER 52.8 RUSHING YARDS

Saquon will be far less than 100% against a really good Run D that will be at home on Primetime TV. Saquon will likely not be a big part of the gameplan.

ANTONIO GIBSON OVER 68.5 RUSHING YARDS

The Redskins do not want to mess up this Football game, best way of doing is that to give the ball to Gibson all game as long as it is close. Expect Gibson to get a grip of carries, all it takes is one big run and he will easily surpass the total.
