TANK DELL
Last season no Expert ranked Nico Collins higher than BEAST DOME. When it was just Tank Dell and Nico Collins, there is an appeal to Tank Dell as a big play threat who could do similar things to prime Desean Jackson. However, when the Texans added Stefon Diggs from the Bills, somebody is going to take a hit in the target department. Between Nico and Tank, you can almost guarantee it will be Tank who will be taking the biggest hit of them all.
Tank Dell is now a big play threat who will likely get about five opportunities or less a game this season. Out of those five opportunities, maybe only two or three of them are those game-changing big plays. While Tank should be able to have a couple, maybe even a few nice games this season, he is being drafted in the 3rd/4th Round of most Fantasy Football Drafts! Last season Tank had 6/10 games with 7+ Targets, all 7 of those games Tank put up great numbers. In the other games 4/10, he put up waiver wire numbers. The chance of Tank seeing 7+ Targets each week in 2024 is less than 50%. Especially since the Texans are a team that will be looking to play smart with a lead, not run up the score.
There are so many more solid WRs in Fantasy Football that go later than Tank Dell, yet people are trusting him to play like a WR2 in Fantasy Football when in reality he is more of a WR4 as he will have plenty of weeks with single-digit points, and sometimes being completely nonexistent in the offense. I did not even mention Dalton Schultz and even if another starting WR has to miss a game, the Texans are easily the deepest team in the NFL at that position.
Let the sheep flock to Tank Dell, he is a guaranteed player to lose your Fantasy Football league if you draft him. Tank offers nothing but a coin toss of hope each week, and that coin is not in your favor.
