FANTASY FOOTBALL BEASTS OF THE WEEK
You Need Snead (Week 16)
By Muntradamus
BEAST DOME NATION.
Throwback to an article I used to Publish on BEAST DOME back in 2012. After knocking down all the picks, I found myself in the Draftstreet Championship, since that day, I have not published this article.
Without further to do, here are my BEASTs of the Week compared to the ECR.
RYAN FITZPATRICK vs. NE
Muntradamus Rank: #5 QB
ECR Rank #11 QB
This game is almost like the Super Bowl for the New York Jets. They have more than a realistic chance to beat the Patriots this Sunday who really have nobody at WR with Danny Amendola out. On top of that Fitzmagic needs only 3 more TD’s to tie the Record for most Touchdowns for a Jets in a season. Magic has a hot Brandon Marshall and a great Eric Decker who are unstoppable as a duo. Magic is ready for the big victory the Jets need, and everyone knows it will all be on the arm of Fitzmagic.
BRANDON WEEDEN @ TEN
Muntradamus Rank: #14 QB
ECR Rank: #27 QB
While everyone hates on Brandon Weeden, let us not forget he was the QB for Josh Gordon during that breakout season. Weeden has been a journey man since leaving the Browns including a few starts with the Cowboys, but this Bill O’Brien offense is actually a really nice fit for the big arm QB. They take a lot of shots down the field and the matchup could not be better. Nobody on the Titans can guard DeAndre Hopkins and you have a nice little homecoming for Nate Washington. Weeden is a great sleeper in DFS if you want to save big at QB.
ALFRED BLUE @ TEN
Muntradamus Rank: #13 RB
ECR Rank #31 RB
Blue will be involved when the Texans are in the game. With a good chance to beat the Titans this Sunday, you can expect Alfred Blue to build off of his 100+ Yard performance last week against the Colts. While I do think Weeden will put up nice numbers, the Texans will also want to hide the fact that Weeden is their QB, which means Blue will once again get 20+ Carries.
CAMERON ARTIS-PAYNE @ ATL
Muntradamus Rank: #11 RB
ECR Rank: #22 RB
Payne. All I feel is Payne.
Payne Bot will see a lot of action this week once the Panthers have a hold on the Falcons. While Jonathan Stewart will be healthy soon, this is a good opportunity for Payne to have a good game against a Falcons Run D that really cannot defend the run at all. Payne comes with some risk because he will need to break a long one to score, as Tolbert is the Goal Line guy. Still, Payne will get 12+ Carries this week with some action in the passing game.
WILLIE SNEAD vs. JAX
Muntradamus Rank: #11 WR
ECR Rank: #31 WR
Marques Colston is beat up, likely out. Ben Watson is beat up, probably out. With both of these guys injured, Snead will be asked to be the short yardage possession WR as Brandin Cooks is too small to take the underneath routes. While Cooks will definitely do his damage, Snead is a good bet to build off of his 10 Reception game last week and is a MUST-PLAY in DFS this week.
RUBEN RANDLE @ MIN
Muntradamus Rank: #15 WR
ECR Rank: #32 WR
While Randle is not Odell Beckham Jr. he is the only thing Eli Manning really has this week. Dwayne Harris is going to play injured, Will Tye is more of a blocking TE, and the Giants running game is garbage. It will be nearly impossible for Ruben Randle not to see 10+ Targets this week.
Is A Blue the start over C Ivory or B Allen?
I would say yes over Buck. While I will rank Blue ahead of Ivory, I would start Ivory. He will get to 1,000 yards this week
