Fantasy Football

BEN ROETHLISBERGER – QB – PIT

The Steelers passing offense under Todd Haley is firing on all cylinders.  The Raiders pass defense is as bad a Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo.  Combine the two together and we could see a historic game for this passing offense.  The Steelers clearly do not want to run the ball anymore than they have to as Isaac “3 Yard Gain” Redman and Jonathan “Can’t get into the second level” Dwyer who are not getting the job done.  Add Rashard Medenhall in all leagues if he is not owned already.

MATT CASSEL – QB – KC

What do the Saints Pass defense and Lindsay Lohan have in common.  They will give up memorable performances to anyone.  Cassel should be king against a Saints secondary that continues to get beat.  Not to mention the Saints offense should make this one a high scoring game.  Cassel is starting to find some rhythm and keep in mind he has more passing yards than Brady, Rodgers, Romo, Roethlisberger, and Matt Ryan. Roll with Matt Cassel this week.

TOM BRADY – QB – NE

Brady left his fantasy owners with a terrible performance last week.  I chalk it up to Aaron Hernandez getting injured early which was likely a huge stab to their game plan.  This week against the Ravens, you can expect the Patriots to put the ball in the hands of their GOD after an embarrassing loss to the Cardinals.  Never bet against Brady, he will show us why even in the roughest environment.  Ravens pass defense is more vulnerable than people think.

MICHAEL BUSH – RB – CHI

If you drafted Michael Bush like my Draft Guide Suggested you reach high for him.  Well you were awarded with a cupcake game against the easy Rams.  Start him with confidence as the Bears will use Bush to soften up the secondary so Brandon Marshall can get his good coverages.  The Bears will have no problem giving him the ball 25+ times in this one.

DARREN MCFADDEN – RB – OAK

A lot of people were burned by McFadden.  Including myself in my rankings as he disappointed against a not so great Dolphins defense.  Now he gets the tough Steelers, yet you should still start him.  Run DMC is one of those players that can get multiple 50 Yard TD runs in a game.  He is faster than this Steelers team by himself, and the Raiders know he has to win them this game. Look for McFadden to load the bass cannon.

JAMAAL CHARLES – RB – KC

I am telling you to sell high on Charles this week.  But if you cannot pull a trigger on the deal, then tune in closely Sunday as this is the game that will make or break his season.  If he blows up against a bad Saints run defense, his trade value goes skyrocketing. If he fails, then hopefully you own Peyton Hillis for the long run. You might as well be fully invested in this one as he can easily run off long TD runs at any point in this game.

WILLIS MCGAHEE – RB – DEN

What’s the difference between me and you.  Willis knows what to do. He takes the handoffs from Manning with straight confidence. Then he runs between the tackles with no nonsense. I hope you like the freestyle, and I hope you take the time to put him in your lineup Sunday.  Willis is one of the best RBs in the game today with the power he runs with.  Peyton Manning keeps defenses honest, Willis tears them up.  Simple formula of the Denver Broncos.  The Texans Defense is a little banged up, good luck tackling a strong/faster Willis. Start him.

STEVIE JOHNSON – WR – BUF

With no Joe Haden. How can you not start Stevie against the Browns.  This secondary has too many holes to even consider wasting any more “digital” ink on this page.  The Bills will throw to Stevie over 10 times in this game, and that should translate a Fantasy Day to remember.

MIKE WALLACE/ANTONIO BROWN – WR – PIT

The Blazer Brothers can be their nickname going forward.  Both of these guys thrive in the new Todd Haley offense, the Raiders defense thrives at giving up monster games to WRs. I like the combo, I like them both to have great games.

DEZ BRYANT/MILES AUSTIN/KEVIN OGLETREE – WR – DAL

The Bucs secondary has 99 problems and stopping talented WRs is #1.  Tony Romo could have 5 TDs in this one, hopefully nobody steals all the stats.  If I had to pick one, it would definitely be Dez Bryant.  I would only start Ogletree if it was a  desperation deep league, but this is a week where you could roll the dice. Not over a big name guy, but over a Darrius Heyward-Bey.

MARQUES COLSTON – WR – NO

Marques is over due to find the end zone.  The fact that he has yet to is very surprising.  At least he is tied with Megatron.  Expect the slump to end, Brandon Flowers is beatable these days, plus Colston will get mismatches as the team really focuses on stopping Jimmy Graham.  I see 2 TDs in his future this Sunday.  He does need a good practice report, or something about that foot.  Still start him.

PIERRE GARCON – WR – WAS

*Now doubtful. Leonard Hankerson is a good sleeper if you need a WR as RGIII should count on him often.

DENARIUS MOORE – OAK – WR

Moore is healthy, and that means a bit of trouble for Pittsburgh.  Although it is not a good matchup, look for Palmer to do what he can to get Moore involved as he is the true #1 WR for CP3.  When these two are on, it is something special.  This week they will look to build chemistry for the future.

SCOTT CHANDLER – TE – BUF

If the Browns try to figure out a way to shut down Stevie Johnson.  While also eliminating the chances of CJ Spiller breaking out a 70 Yard Run.  Then Scott Chandler is going to be wide open and should easily collect a monster day.  The Bills will get him the ball as he is clearly the #2 option on this team.  Chandler will be a popular name off the waiver wire for Week 3.  Luckily you listened to my advice and picked him up in Week 1.

RYAN SUCCOP – K – KC

I hate Succop.  I think he is one of the worst kickers in the NFL no questions asked.  I also think this is his week where he could get 5 FG opportunities. The Saints defense bends, though it sometimes breaks, the Chiefs offense is not usually one to find all the most success.  If you need a sleeper kicker this week, Suck it up with Succop.

BILLS – D/ST – BUF

The real Buffalo Bills defense showed up last Sunday.  They did play at home which helped, but they will take that new confidence to Cleveland against a Browns football team that is still finding their identity.  Brandon Weeden all of a sudden had more passing yards than Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady.  Trent Richardson finally looked like the R.O.Y.  Most importantly the Browns WR’s were catching balls.  Well now comes a real defense in the Bills, one that has confidence.  Expect them to rock the Browns with pressure they cannot handle.   Muntradamus is a Fantasy Sports Expert who specializes in Fantasy Football/Baseball/Basketball. 1. Hey muntra, great work as usual! I saw that you said to go after. Colston so I offered Stevie Johnson for him just to see what would happen. The guy said he’d do it…do u think I should pull the trigger

    Thanks!
    sB

  2. did you not also see that the more talented stevie johnson is also on this list? Dont trade rape yourself, recall that trade before its too late…

  3. I have D Moore, Santonio, and Shonn Greene for my flex spot this week. (.5 PPR league, 10yds/pt)

I was leaning towards Holmes and a weak Miami secondary. If you’re saying take Moore against Pitt, I’ll take it. You’ve made me look like a prophet in my league with Bennett!

Thanks and keep up the great work!

  4. 1ppr. I a, thinking about starting Pierre Thomas over K Smith. I just worry P Thomas doesnt get the touches that he should.

    What u think?

  5. I’m rolling over people in my PPR league but cant pick who to flex Reggie Bush Darren. Sproles or miles Austin

  6. Hola Muntz,

You think Mendenhall has more potential than Quizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and or Benson? With your advice I drafted so well that I don’t have anyone to drop from my team.

    Thanks!!!

  7. Ooooo forgot to ask. What to do with Schaub? Seems like the team is very run orientated and doesn’t leave much opportunity for Schaub. Dump him for Cassel, Bradford or Palmer? This is my Flex position so I could always throw in Garcon or Wanye instead of a QB but WR can fluctuate more in consistency.

    Thanks!!!

  8. Really need every point on sunday after a horrible thursday with newton, cruz and lafell. My opponent had picked up Andre brown.

You would recommend starting colston and benching floyd and Fitzgerald?

    RefrigeratorPerrys

  9. The upside of Colston this week outweighs both Floyd and Fitzgerald by the same weight of RefrigeratorPerry.

  10. Tough decision.

Hard to bench Fitz for a #3 WR. I would suck it up and play Fitz and hope for the best. Future Hall of Famer against a 1 week wonder.
