BEAST DOME NATION.
Fantasy Football season is around the corner and, “The BEAST DOME Draft Guide Process” will begin shortly. I expect to have the Draft Guide complete in May. Until then let us evaluate these Rookies and see if they will be on your team this Fall.
In the first Round, the Ravens with the #22 pick select Zay Flowers. A WR who after watching his tape reminds me of a taller, slower Amon-Ra St. Brown. If you got AR St.Brown on Wish.com, aka he is not as good as the real thing. Let us just say, he looks good, but he has to be in the right situation to thrive. Now we all know the Ravens just burned their bank account on Lamar Jackson, but wasting a 1st Round pick on top of it?
Zay Flowers is going to have trouble breaking in as a consistent weapon on the Ravens offense. First of all the team loves to run the ball, that is no surprise. When you look at the depth at WR for the Ravens, you see nothing but average guys who would be role player WRs on other NFL teams. Bateman/Odell/Duvernay/Agholor, and now Flowers. Not excited about this group of weapons to begin with, but Flowers is not going to be playing over 50% of the snaps. Ravens did a get new OC to make the offense potentially more explosive. However these WRs combined with Lamar’s accuracy is going to make all of these guys very inconsistent when it comes to Fantasy Football.
Let us not forget. When it comes to Lamar Jackson throwing the Football, Mark Andrews is the only Raven you can count on. Even he had a down year last year as all the Sheep Experts out there had you waste a 2nd/3rd Round pick on him. Gee, I wonder what Expert predicted that?
