Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire: First Harvest (Week 3)

Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire:

First Harvest (Week 3)

 By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

We have now seen teams long enough to understand their formulas and get a clearer picture on the NBA season.  So far I am dominating in the Experts Challenge, and it paid off if you used my Pre-Draft Rankings. Example below.

DAMIAN LILLARD – PG- POR

BEAST DOME #8 PG
ESPN #22 PG

 FREE AGENTS. LONG-TERM.

HARRISON BARNES – SF – GSW

OWNED 67% OF CBS LEAGUES

Barnes is the real deal.  There is no other way to put it.

I have never seen such a talented rookie who can dominate the game like Barnes can.  He was taking Andrei Kirlenko off the dribble to the bucket at will, finishing with flashy layups.  It is never uncommon to see a rookie have a semi-slow start like Barnes did who failed to score over 12 Points in a game.

With the injury Brandon Rush, get better soon, and Andrew Bogut out until Janurary.  The Warrios are going to be counting on Harrison to be a consistent 14 Points a game.  He also grabbed double digit rebounds in the last two games, which shows he is more well verse than people expected.

PATRICK PATTERSON – PF – HOU

OWNED 29% OF CBS LEAGUES

Patterson is very underated in the real NBA.

Patrick was part of the star studded John Wall/DeMarcus Cousins Kentucky team.  He is now on a Rockets team that is giving him every chance to suceed.  He has some range of his jump shot, he can dominate in the post against smaller defenders, and he gets rebounds.

Patterson will get better as the season goes on, for now just hope for low-end double doubles.  He will soon get it altogether.

METTA WORLD PEACE – SF – LAL

OWNED 50% OF CBS LEAGUES

In a Mike D’Antonio offense, MWP is going to have more 3PT FG attempts than any average player.  He can easily have a career year and it showed up right away as predicted in my article earlier this week.  MAKE IT NASHTY.

He is a Must-Own player in all leagues at this point.  Averaging over 2 Steals per game and multiple 3PTM.  You cannot ask for much more from your forward.

ANDRE MILLER – PG – DEN

OWNED 62% OF CBS LEAGUES

It is not often a backup PG averages over 5 assists per game.  Andre Miller last season averaged 7.

He looks just as good as he did last season, and that makes him must-own as his value can skyrocket with a Ty Lawson injury.  Even if he misses one night, Andre Miller is Must-Start Player that night.

Trust me if there is one thing hard to do in Fantasy Basketball.  It is picking up assists off the Waiver Wire.

ANTAWN JAMISON – SF/PF – LAL

OWNED 15% OF CBS LEAGUES

This is a long-term add for those very deep leagues.

With the amount of points the Lakers are going to be scoring, someone from the bench will be averaging 15 Points per game.

Antawn can do that with his eyes closed.  Just wait until Nash returns to really start seeing the results, but they will come quick.  And everyone will be grabbing him.

JORDAN CRAWFORD – SG – WAS

OWNED 58% OF CBS LEAGUES

It will not take long for all you new Fantasy Basketball fans to realize Jordan Crawford is the Willis McGahee of Fantasy Basketball at BEAST DOME.

The Wizard have finally come to their senses and will let Crawford who has ELITE ability to get the full minutes at SG.  While Bradley Beal is good, Jordan Crawford is simply better.  When John Wall returns, things could get sketchy.  As of now Wall has no timetable, so let the good times roll with Jor Craw who usually explodes during the Fantasy Basketball Playoffs.

ANDRE DRUMMOND – C – DET

OWNED 50% OF CBS LEAGUES

Drummond is by no means a player to add on your team right now in shallow leagues.

Just keep in mind, Drummond is doing exactly what Greg Monroe did as a rookie.  Put up good numbers in limited minutes, sometimes low-end double/double potential.  The Pistons are very far from a playoff contender which means at the end of the season expect Drummond to be playing nearly 30 Minutes a game in audition time.

With those 30+ Minutes, Drummond can put up low-end #2 Center numbers with ease.

KYLE KORVER – SG/SF – ATL

OWNED 26% OF CBS LEAGUES

Remember when we all used to think what if Korver played 30 Minutes Per Game?

Well now he is, and that means you should add him if you want a quick Burst of 3PTM.  Right now the Hawks are figuring out their rotation, which could make him droppable before the end of next week.  Devin Harris just returned, Louis Williams has been fighting the flu.  Both are back, so this move may not even last long.

He is a quick hit and run until Devin Harris gets his minutes back.

EMEKA OKAFOR – PF/C – WAS

OWNED 58% OF CBS LEAGUES

If you want blocks, and nothing but blocks.

Emeka is throwing a party and you are invited.  His potential at the Center Position makes him very intriguing.  However things can get very shaky once Nene Hiliario returns.  Nothing Hiliario about it.

For now ride out the block party until the Wizards start scaling back his minutes.

  1. Great move. The 76ers have too many options at the forward position leaving a lot of inconsistency around the entire roster. Minus Jrue.

  2. I have been loving Parsons, especially with the amount of minutes he has been getting. Plus he has a hot hand right now. I would definitely grab him.

What does everyone think of Daniel Gibson now that Kyrie is out? I’m sure he will see a significant boost in minutes and he will be shooting his butt off. I think I may grab him and drop Dalembert. Dalembert’s minutes are still just so inconsistent. What do you guys think?

  3. Klay Thompson is struggling (29.2 FG%) Should I cut bait (for Jordan Crawford?) or hold on a little longer. Thanks
