  1. Would it be good to sell high on Illysova after tonight’s 25 rebound game for someone like Joakim Noah? I know this is a big risk as Noah could cool down and Illysova could continue this rampage.

  2. If you can get Joakim Noah for Illysova that is a good move. I still think Illysova will be very productive, but never a bad idea to take the guy who is more proven.

  3. Hey M.,
The moves continue to pay off. Thanks for the guidance. I’m staying playoff bound in my league, and should be in 2nd place except I’m one of the only teams that hasn’t played against a squad with an absentee owner (ridiculous). I’m getting an offer of Al Harrington and Isaiah Thomas for Nikola Pekovic and Rodney Stuckey. I’m definitely declining that, as I’d be giving up the best two players in that scenario. However, given the fact that Amare Stoudemire looks lazy and streaky to me, I’m thinking of countering with something involving Stoudemire (I have) and Tyreke Evans (he has). Do you like that trade idea and if so who else would you package on each side? Here are the rosters.

    Me
    PG – Ty Lawson
    SG – Marcus Thornton
    SF – Josh Smith
    PF – Kevin Love
    C – Amare Stoudemire
    U – Greivis Vasquez
    U – Rodney Stuckey
    U – Carmelo Anthony
    U – Channing Frye
    U – Nikola Pekovic
    B – Ramon Sessions
    B – Jameer Nelson
    B – Carlos Delfino
    B – J.R. Smith
    B – Gustavo Ayon

    Him
    PG – Derrick Rose
    SG – Tyreke Evans
    SF – Paul George
    PF – Blake Griffin
    C – Drew Gooden
    U – Kyle Lowry
    U – Jamaal Crawford
    U – MarShon Brooks
    U – Al Harrington
    U – Marcus Camby
    B – Isaiah Thomas
    B – Darren Collison
    B – Aaron Afflalo
    B – Elton Brand
    B – Andrea Bargnani

    Thanks again.

  4. His new offer is Evans/Harrington for Pekovic/Stuckey. I tend to like Pekovic more than Stoudemire though, and think I could possibly get Thomas or Crawford If I offered Amare instead. Thoughts?

  5. Glad to see your team is doing well. Your run with Vasquez may take an end as he appears heading to a backup role unless they find a way to get him more PT at the SG spot.

As far as your trade goes, the first offer was not a fair one. Though I am starting to develop a fantasy crush on Isaiah Thomas.

If you are trying to give up Amare and receive Evans, then you should also grab Thomas and his upside as well. I do like Amare to bounce back with a solid 2nd half.

    So let’s analyze this closer.

If you can grab Thomas and Evans you would have the 3 Kings. Okay movie. And then your team would get more assists, more points potential, and someone who can dominate.

Try to give up Vasquez instead of Stuckey as Stuckey has some real value right now. If you do have to give up Stuckey it is okay, as Ben Gordon is really starting to step it up off the bench.

I do agree with you on Pekovic. I think he is a safer far less valued player than Amare. Similar stats are in reach for both.

  6. Harrington will be not hold so much value once Nene comes back. Add Chandler and Danilo to the rotation as well, and that team is too deep to count on Harrington.

Try to get Crawford or Thomas instead of Al no matter what it takes. And you will be the winner in this trade whether it is Peko or Amare. Also try to swap Stuckey for Vasquez and you will benefit in the long run as well.

  7. We settled on Stoudemire/Stuckey for Evans/Crawford. In the end I’m a bit skeptical about owning the entire Sacramento back court, since they are a young team. I worry that on nights when that offense struggles to click Thomas is gonna be the odd man out as Evans, Thornton and Cousins are all gonna get theirs, regardless. If Thomas has a few bad games though, I may see if I can buy him low. It was hard parting with Stuckey, mostly because he gets to the FT line a ridiculous amount. Regarding Vasquez, I was worried when I saw Jack’s stat line. Who is a player you might target for Vasquez? Also, Brandon Bass, Jordan Crawford, Wilson Chandler and Devin Harris are all on FA in my league. I’m gonna drop Ayon for Bass, but is it worth it to drop Vasquez or Nelson for any of those guys?

  8. Good Point, and I think Jamal Crawford is going to be great all season long especially now as a starter.

    Add Jordan Crawford now.

He is red hot going into tonight’s game. Scoring 20+ in 3 of the last 4 games.

Tonight at halftime he already has 21 Points.

You can drop Vasquez for him who looks to be the odd man out of the Hornets rotation. Jarrett Jack looks great.

  9. You have provided great help before and I think my team is a lock for the playoffs so I want my team to be built for a playoff run. I want to trade guys that might not perform as well during those weeks because their getting rested or whatever. I think Noah is a good player to trade high on especially after his triple double. I was just wondering if I should trade like noah and tyreke for a player straight up and who I should target. There are a few players I would like to pick up off waivers like Ramon Sessions, Bismack Biyombo, or Jordan Crawford but not sure who to drop. So making a two for one trade I could pick one of these players up.
    Here is my current lineup:
    PG Derrick Rose
    SG Tyreke Evans
    SF Andre Iguodaa
    PF Joakim Noah
    C Dwight Howard
    C Roy HIbbert
    G Deron Williams
    F Zach Randolph
    UTIL: Nikola Pekovik, Paul George
Bench: Shawn Marion, Mario Chalmers, Jared Dudley

So I guess in conclusion which player should I try to trade Joakim Noah and Tyreke Evans for. Then should I pick up Jordan Crawford, Bismack Biyombo, or Ramon Sessions after the trade? Thanks so much for all the great advice!

  10. Thank you for the feedback Bob.

Check out the updated Trade Analyzer to figure out who to target in a trade. It would not hurt two combo those two guys for a superstar such as Durant, or maybe Josh Smith.

You can drop Dudley for either Biyombo or Crawford. I feel Biyombo will have more value being a center in the long run, but Crawford will put up some beastly games especially once the Wizards get eliminated from the playoffs. Crawford was the fantasy MVP of the playoffs a season ago.

It would be great if you can figure out how to get both.
