DILLON BROOKS TIME
By Muntradamus
BEAST DOME NATION.
Ja Morant is an idiot to say the least. $200+ Million in contracts, shoe deal, arguably the #1 youngest superstar in the NBA. Yet he decides to act like a gangster rapper who sells albums on the streets to people as they walk by. With a looming 50 game suspension for bringing his own gun with him on the road, the Grizzlies went from potential NBA champions, to likely 1st Round exit out of the playoffs. Morant went from Superstar, to an idiot.
The Grizz luckily have a lot of talent on their roster, something that has kept this team going for a while. While Morant is going to be missed, all it means is some of these role players have to step up. The player who has to step up the most, Dillon Brooks.
Dillon Brooks went from being a great scorer/defender in the NBA, to a laughing joke as he dresses like wrestlers from the 90s, while shooting the ball like, a wrestler from the 90s. Players have been mocking him, laughing at him, even Shannon Sharpe wanted to beat him up. However with Ja gone, the most likely guy to have to step up his game is Dillon Brooks.
Desmond Bane is arguably the best scorer on the team, you can argue Jaren Jackson. However Bane is going to be seeing the best defenders night after night now. With Bane being guarded by great players, Dillon Brooks is going to be the one who has a lot of open shots to take. To start the season, Brooks was taking about 20 shots a game. As the season has progressed, Brooks is now down to about 10 shots a game. With no more Ja, it is about to be Dillon Brooks time.
Add Dillon Brooks (47% owned) in all leagues, he can average around 20 points per game with a lot of 3PTM and Steals to close out the season. Tyus Jones and Desmond Bane are both going to dominate as well. Both are already owned in over 50% of leagues.
