The Fantasy Baseball season is very very early. One month, pssshhhh, by the time Fantasy Baseball season ends, I guarantee you will be at a different stage of your life. It is important not to be super obsessed with where you are in the Standings, why your superstars are not hitting, or any of the above. It is a long baseball season, enjoy the process.
If you are questioning what the Title of the article is. It is likely you have not seen one of the best claymation TV shows out there. Moral Orel. It is a shame it only lasted three season, regardless. Enjoy the article.
BUY LOW
CHRISTOPHER MOREL
Ever since I saw Christopher Morel in Chicago, I LOVED HIM. The guy hits towering HRs and he has the potential to steal 20+ bases every season. He was the closest thing I have seen since Sammy Sosa (mainly because of the Cubs uniform). The only problem with Morel, his defense is equivalent to Luka Doncic. A player that once played 2B then 3B, now he is an everyday outfielder. Morel has been hitting #4/#5 all season for the Rays, and while his production has not been great, they have been sticking with him. For the first time all season, it appears Morel has finally found his groove so now is the time to pounce on the star without giving up too much.
Morel has 3 HR/2 SB and hitting near .260. Those numbers are not amazing, so there is no reason to over pay for him. However when it is all said and done, 30 HR/20 SB is not out of the question at all. Especially playing in the little sand box field they have this season.
JHOAN DURAN
Duran is amazing. If there was one closer in baseball I would be afraid to hit against, Duran is that guy. Aroldis Chapman is pretty scary also, but this article is not about him. Duran has a 100+ mph Fastball that he can consistently throw. Then he has a split finger which drops out of the zone making you look like a fool when you swing and miss. Duran sits with an ERA at 1.11, so how is he a Buy Low? Because he only has 2 Saves. Not his fault though, the Twins have not been in many save situations this season, that will change. Best of all, Duran did not even get the last save for the Twins because he had a 32 pitch outing the day before.
Duran could easily end up with 35+ Saves, and if you can package him in a deal, now is the time. The Twins are contenders this year for the AL Central, despite their less than .500 record. The season is early, Duran will come around with the save total.
