That HR by Siri is a very big HR off of Mason Miller blowing a very rare save. Miller was the heavy favorite early on for Rookie of the Year when Jackson Holliday and Evan Carter were eliminated early. Miller was as dominant as any closer anyone has seen in a while, including making the All-Star game. Miller broke a finger punching a gatorade cooler shortly after the All-Star Break, missed a couple weeks, next thing you know he completely fades out of the race according to the odds. Miller is actually pitching amazing, and you could argue that he deserves AL Rookie Of The Year.

However with both Cowser/Wells on 1st Place teams, it makes sense to give it to one of those guys as opposed to a player winning for a last place organization. You do not see MVP goto a last place player.
