NBA SEASON PREDICTIONS
(2013-2014)
BEAST DOME NATION.
The new Fantasy Basketball season is among us. Like in Football, I will not be giving Daily Predictions from players. In fact all VIP Packages for NBA will be put on hold as I go on my journey of playing without giving advice.
What I will be doing is tackling other “expert” articles to help determine what is good advice and what is Bad. Once again for all the people who do not like the new BEAST DOME. Feel free to leave or cry about it. I do not have to give free game-by-game predictions to anyone.
What I will be doing, is giving away Free Bet Advice from time-to-time.

WESTERN CONFERENCE
*PROJECTED FINISH*
MISSING THE PLAYOFFS
15. PHOENIX SUNS
This team thew in the towel the second they traded away Marcin Gortat. The Suns are going to be a horrible NBA team to watch and do not belong in the NBA. Goran Dragic is not good enough to be the star player with an unproven Eric Bledsoe who is a better Fantasy Basketball Player than a Playoff Caliber SG.
14. LOS ANGELES LAKERS
Kills me to say this being a Lakers Fan, and making the color of the website Purple and Gold for the Lakers. With Kobe not coming back for at least a month, that right away puts them in any sort of hole to make the playoffs. When Kobe returns to this worthless team led by a crippled Pau Gasol and an aging Steve Nash with a bunch of hit or miss shooters. It is hard to see a lot of upside for the greatest Franchise in the NBA.
13. UTAH JAZZ
The Jazz lost Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson to start building for the future. Derrick Favors and Enes Kanter should both shine in Fantasy Basketball, but on a real NBA level, this combo is not going to be dominant enough to win games for the Jazz. Rookie Trey Burke is in for a long season and Gordon Hayward is not enough of a go-to player to make things happen for Utah.
12. SACRAMENTO KINGS
Shaqramento is taking over the Kings and could be a good mentor to DeMarcus Cousins. The Kings are filled with young talent and could easily make a run of being a good team, but the West is simply too strong for a team like Sacramento. Not enough consistent scoring, and a messy rotation of Guards could leave this team with no identity. Something all championship teams have.
11. DENVER NUGGETS
Once the deepest team in the NBA, now a team with a bunch of players that all do their job and nothing else. While all of this sounds like a winning formula for an already good established team, the West became too deep to let the Nuggets and their role players be enough. Ty Lawson is not going to be the Ty Lawson we have been waiting for, and with Danilo out for likely a month and no other ELITE scoring options, this team is just all depth.
10. DALLAS MAVERICKS
They made a great move getting Monta Ellis to be the star of this team. Monta is easily the underdog top Fantasy Basketball Player this year who becomes the next James Harden and an automatic 1st Round Pick for the 2014-2015 Season. Dirk is on his last legs, which means no defense at all. Dalembert will have to be like Dwight Howard, and I do not see that happening. The good news about the Mavericks is they will be a very efficient offensive team with no defense.
9. PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS
Damian Lillard and crew finally added depth. While the depth is good for the Blazers, they are still not a strong enough team for the new and improved West. Lillard/Aldridge/Batum are all Fantasy Stars, Matthews and Lopez are even great role players. The West is tough this year, and I see them just missing a Playoff Spot as Heart Break City hits Rip City once again.
PLAYOFF TEAMS
8. MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES
Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio are healthy. Kevin Martin is ready for a big comeback season, and Nikola Pekovic compliments Love like no other center can. This team will be scoring points, they will be playing hard, and they know they have the chance to make the playoffs for the first time since Kevin Garnett/Stephon Marbury was on this team. They are ready to make a name for themselves.
7. OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER
Durant and Westbrook are the best pair in the NBA. With Westbrook missing a lot of the start of the season, you can expect the Thunder to start in the wrong category. Kevin Durant will really be put to the test early on in the season, and chances are he does not do enough with this Serge Ibaka and then nobody else team. OKC will make noise in the playoffs, but regular season will be okay. Last season they replaced James Harden with Kevin Martin, this season they did not replace Kevin Martin.
6. NEW ORLEANS PELICANS
Anthony Davis, Jrue Holiday, Tyreke Evans, Eric Gordon. These are all great NBA players, and they are all coming together with one common goal. To start this Franchise the right way. Add in Ryan Anderson from 3PT range and this is a team that can beat a lot of teams rosters when you match them up. The Pelicans could lack some defensively, but Jrue Holiday and Davis are two of the top defenders while everyone else is beatable.
5. MEMPHIS GRIZZILES
This team has about 1 year left before they have to consider making moves. Marc Gasol is starting to wear down, and Zach Rudolph has not been the same player since his horrible knee injury. Still the Grizz boost one of the best big men combos in the league, and Tayshaun Prince/Mike Conley/Tony Allen is easily the three best defenders at their position.
4. SAN ANTONIO SPURS
Spurs are going to coast the regular season. It is amazing the original Big Three came back, but the Big Three will be nothing more than players who play the minutes they need to win games, and that’s it. Do not be surprised to see Coach Pop give these guys lots of time off to start and end the season. They are still great, but do not have the fatigue they once had.
3. LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS
Clippers are going to ask Blake Griffin to step his game up. DeAndre Jordan still does not have an offensive game, and J.J. Redick/Jamal Crawford will just shoot when they are in. Cp3 and Darren Collison is easily the best set of PGs in the league. As long as Blake scores 20 a game, this team will dominate.
2. HOUSTON ROCKETS
Dwight is going to kill it this season. He is easily the best Center in the NBA and is out to make a statement after his horrible season with the Lakers. Dwight is now healthy, and James Harden is determined to be an all-around guard to make sure Dwight is happy and dominating. Rockets could easily be the highest scoring team in the NBA and a team that any team should fear. BEAST DOME is the only Fantasy Site to Rank Dwight Howard #1 at Center. The FT% is nothing when he gets those 20/20 Games with 4 Blocks. He is essentially two Fantasy Players combined into one.
1. GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS
With Andrew Bogut healthy, and Andre Iguodala joining this already great team. It is going to be very hard to stop Golden State. David Lee/Steph Curry/Klay Thompson are about as reliable as anyone in the game, and the other two players could easily be stars of other teams. Speights is a good addition to the bench and we could see the Warriors cruise through the tough West.
PLAYOFFS
1. WARRIORS VS. 8 TIMBERWOLVES
It was a good run, but the Warriors behind their new and improved starting 5 run out of the Timberwolves.
Winner: WARRIORS
2. ROCKETS VS. 7 THUNDER
Russell Westbrook is now healthy and this becomes the most exciting series of them all. The Rockets simply do not have an answer for Durant and Westbrook.
Winner: THUNDER
3.CLIPPERS VS. 6. PELICANS
The new look Pelicans against Lob City. Lob City is not able to get it done as the Pelicans have possibly better or same quality players at a majority of the positions getting all the right matchups.
Winner: PELICANS
4. SPURS VS. 5. GRIZZLIES
Spurs have their fine oiled machine ready for this time of the year. They run the Grizzlies and Marc Gasol’s banged up knees out of the gym.
Winner: SPURS
2nd ROUND
1. WARRIORS VS. 4. SPURS
The new look Warriors have the starting 5 to not let the Spurs beat them. Spurs may have all the aging old school talent. The Warriors have the new generation of the NBA. New Generation takes over the old easily at this time of the season.
Winner: WARRIROS
7. THUNDER VS. 6 PELICANS
Now things just got interesting. But not with Russell Westbrook at 100% and Kevin Durant putting up MVP Historic numbers. The Thunder criuse past the Pelicans and advance to the Western Confrence Finals. Anthony Davis/Jrue Holiday were outmatched by Westbrook and Ibaka. Nobody can stop Durant.
Winner: THUNDER
2013 – 2014 WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS
1. WARRIORS vs. 7. THUNDER
The new Warriors Starting 5 is that good. The Warriors cruise on past the Thunder and advance to the NBA Championship. Iguodala does not enough to distruput Durant, which is enough for the Warriors to win this easily.
(2013-2014) WESTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS
GOLDEN STATE WARRIROS
From Steph Curry to Klay Thompson being the best 3PT shooting guard combo in the league, to Andre Iguodala and his Perfect Defense, to David Lee and his leadership/one of the best offensive power forwards in the game, to Andrew Bogut being 100% and is easily one of the best big men in this league. The Warriors advance to the NBA Finals.

MISSING THE PLAYOFFS
15. BOSTON CELTICS
This team is horrible. Nobody can score a consistent 20 on this squad, and that is going to lead to a lot of horrible nights. Rajon Rondo the teams best player is not only out until possibly December, but Rondo is known for his passing and defense. Sure he can run the court, but the players he has will not make all the shots needed. Jared Sullinger could be a force, Jeff Green has to play like a MVP although he has not shown that potential this preseason.
14. PHILADELPHIA 76ERS
A team that is led by Evan Turner and Thaddeus Young better have some great Role players on it. The 76ERS do not have anything less than average role players around them from a Rookie PG, to a SG that nobody knows, to a Center that is average. Evan Turner and Thaddeus Young cannot pick up the slack of Michael Carter-Williams, James Anderson, and Spencer Hawes.
13. MILWAUKEE BUCKS
If the NBA is a guard driven league, and the Bucks give up two of their best guards in Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis, with Brandon Knight and OJ Mayo in return, you are going to need something else. The Bucks do not have anything else as Larry Sanders and Ersan Ilyasova are much better Fantasy Players, than real players. Brandon Knight does not matchup with NBA PGs on a consistent basis.
12. ORLANDO MAGIC
The Magic are not that bad of a team, the Eastern Conference is just very tough. The only way the Magic make some noise is if Tobias Harris plays like a MVP, which is possible. Big Baby Davis will return soon, Jameer Nelson/Afflalo/Vucevic is good enough to be in contention, some nights.
11. CHARLOTTE BOBCATS
The Bobcats are no longer the worst team in the NBA. They actually have potential to win some games and possibly sneak in as an 8 seed, but it all depends on the health of Big Al Jefferson. If he can stay healthy, this team can make some noise. If they do not, they are right back where they were in 2012.
10. ATLANTA HAWKS
Replacing Josh Smith with Paul Millsap can keep this team in the same situation they are in now. The problem with the Hawks is at the athletic SG/SF position. They do not have what it takes to matchup defensively with really good wing players and that could be a big problem for them all season.
9. WASHINGTON WIZARDS
John Wall has nothing but playoffs on his mind. Bradely Beal is ready for a Huge season. All of this adds up to the Wizards looking very good, especially with the addition of Gortat to go with a healthy Nene. This team is ready for the next step, but they fall just short of making the Playoffs. If Otto Porter turns out to be huge, things can be much different.
PLAYOFF TEAMS
8. TORONTO RAPTORS
Rudy Gay shows that he can lead an NBA team. With DeRozan finally hitting his consistent stride, and Kyle Lowry finally playing PG the way he can as a consistent 3×2 threat. Raptors advance with the improvement of Amir Johnson and Jonas Valancuinas.
7. CHICAGO BULLS
Derrick Rose has a fully productive season. Luol Deng is now healthy. Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah do enough on both ends of the court as well as Jimmy Butler to give the Bulls the nod in advancing. Not worried about D-Rose’s health.
6. NEW YORK KNICKS
Melo in a contract year is ready to go off to another level. The Knicks have all the pieces of the puzzle to make a huge run, especially with the addition of Bargnani. Look for the Knicks to do anything and everything they can to win the championship.
5. DETROIT PISTONS
The new Twin Towers is officially here. Monroe and Drummond are BEASTS among Men this season. Josh Smith is a BEAST at the SF position and Brandon Jennings will make it rain with 3PTM. The Pistons are going to be very fun to watch this season.
4. CLEVELAND CAVALIERS
The Cavs are in it to win it this season. Jarrett Jack and Andrew Bynum were huge signings. Anthony Bennett the #1 Pick can be a force when he is in the game, will split time with Tristan Thompson is who already a rising star. Anderson Varejao is healthy and Dion Waiters is ready to ball. Kyrie Irvin has his championship team.
3. MIAMI HEAT
The Big 3 is starting to wear down. The other role players have to be big every night for the Heat to continue to win at the rate they have been, especially with Wade wearing down. LeBron is still the MVP, Bosh will look for an improved season, all comes down to the role players.
2. INDIANA PACERS
Pacers are a very talented team that is destined to win a lot of games. Not because of their talented shooters, but because of their outstanding defense. The Pacers are too big and too talented for a lot of NBA teams. Quickly turning into the Spurs of the East.
1. BROOKLYN NETS
The Nets did everything they can to bring in Superstars. Superstars who are playing for nothing else besides the Championship. Give them a players coach like Jason Kidd, and the Nets are in a perfect place to win it all. The hype of the new team with the 2nd year arena and the new fan base. This is going to be the team to watch.
PLAYOFFS
1. NETS VS. 8. RAPTORS
Good season Rudy Gay and company. The Nets are too much to handle. Nets Advance easily, nobody can stop Brook.
WINNER: NETS
2. PACERS VS. 7. BULLS
This matchup is good enough to be the Eastern Confrence Finals preview. The Bulls however do have enough to slow down the Pacers and take them in this series. Noah/Boozer matchup well with their big men, Deng can take down George, and Derrick Rose has the floor to himself to dominate.
WINNER: BULLS
3. HEAT VS. 6. KNICKS
Knicks are healthy at this point, Amar’e is good enough to play 30 Minutes, and the Knicks have more talent than the Heat do overall. In a series, give me the Knicks who can outscore this Heat team any night of the week. Bosh and Wade will not have enough to contribute in this series.
WINNER: KNICKS
4. CAVALIERS VS. 5. PISTONS
The Pistons have Size, the Cavs have Size. The Pistons have a great PG, the Cavs have a great PG. I would take the athleticism at this point of the season, than the garbage hustle players. Give me the Pistons as we see Josh Smith shine to another level in this series.
WINNER: PISTONS
2nd ROUND
1. NETS VS. 5. PISTONS
Nets have too many stars for the Pistons to handle. The Nets advance easily.
WINNER: NETS
6. KNICKS VS. 7. BULLS
Derrick Rose is ready to blow up this series. Carmelo may be too physical for Deng. In the end, I want the team that is going to play better defense, and I give that edge to the Knicks. Iman Shumpert could matchup on Derrick Rose to slow him down enough, that will be the difference.
WINNER: KNICKS
2013 – 2014 EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS
1. NETS VS. 6 KNICKS
Nets are the best team in the East. They are more talented than the Knicks at every position outside of SF. Carmelo may have been able to carry Syracuse when he was a Freshman, but not the Knicks.
(2013-2014) EASTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS
BROOKLYN NETS
Jason Kidd is the perfect coach for Deron Williams. Jason Kidd takes this Nets team and is able to keep the egos of Pierce/Joe Johnson/Kevin Garnett/Deron Williams/Brook Lopez and a great supportive bench, and make it all one unit that wants one goal. To win the Championship. This Nets team is almost the ‘All 2000’s team.’

vs.
GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS
WARRIORS have the youth.
NETS have the experience.
Both teams have amazing staring Fives.
In the end. Defense prevails. Deron Williams can do whatever he wants to Steph Curry. David Lee can get shutdown by Kevin Garnett. Andre Iguodala will have to step up his game to another level, or Paul Pierce the truth will show up and take this series home. In the end. Deron Williams has too much for the Warriors to handle.

Digging the predictions Munt! Nice work!
HELL YES. BK FAN OVER HERE WE OUTTTT
Thanks for the input Munt. Two things stick out to me, peli’s 6th in the west and Knicks taking out the heat in the first round. If those prove true I’d be beyond impressed.
Better own that Knicks/Heat prediction :)
I see NY not even making it into the playoffs
