It was only a few weeks ago I suggested CJ Stroud as a Sell High Candidate.

It was Nico Collins all along. The BEAST DOME BEAST from 2023. Everyone thought CJ Stroud is this amazing QB, but it really was just Nico being unstoppable and making the defenses roll coverage to him letting Stroud do whatever he wanted. With Nico gone, this is similar to the Chiefs losing Rashee Rice. Stroud will come back to reality and put up reality numbers, sure a juicy matchup where anyone could look good against the Patriots is coming up. However long-term if Nico does have a bad hamstring injury, Stroud should start to put up very average games especially as the RB room is getting healthy, (sort of) for the Texans.

Stroud has 371 Total Passing Yards and 1 TD, in the last two games. Those numbers are horrific and that value just took another huge hit with Stefon Diggs out for the season. All of a sudden this Texans offense has no weapons in the passing game, sorry Tank Dell is not a #1 WR and he will struggle against real coverage focusing on him.

Stroud and the Texans are in trouble if they do not make a move at the deadline for a WR, or if Nico Collins does not come back to full strength.

On the flip side you have arguably the most disappointing Jets season in the history of their franchise. Jets had to wait a full year for Rodgers, just to have the same production they had with Zach Wilson/Tim Boyle. It is not Aaron Rodgers fault the Jets are losing games, I would blame Greg Zuerlien. Missed FGs and Extra Points have been a nightmare for the Jets kicker, and now he is replaced by Riley Patterson who is okay.

Another big reason the Jets are not winning games is CJ Mosley who has not been healthy and now he is OUT. Without Mosley, the Jets defense is not a Super Bowl contending defense. Luckily for the Jets the AFC East is as weak as ever and even though the Bills have a good chance of winning it, Jets can still manage to finish in second place which could be enough for a playoff spot.

This is a Must-Win game for the Jets, it is a big challenge game for the Texans to see how they survive without a WR. This is also a matchup of two teams that Tim Boyle has been part of.
