This is it for the Rams. A team that was destined to make the playoffs at the very least, lost both Kupp and Nacua very early in the year. Rams managed to win two games, including one against the 49ers, and believe it or not, the Rams are still in Playoff Position. At 2-4 there is a lot of Football to be played, and for the first time since Week 1, Nacua and Kupp will be back.
Rumors are swirling that the Rams are going to be sellers at the deadline as both Kupp and Nacua are on the market. Chad Ochocinco already says a deal is done for Kupp in SF or TB, but Kupp is playing tonight. LA is the city everyone wants to be in right now when it comes to sports. Clippers opened up their stadium, Lakers look like a Championship contender with a real coach, and the Dodgers World Series opens up on Friday.
LA is going to be the home to sports, and Prime Time TV for Kupp and Nacua should not be having these stars sitting on the sidelines. Rams can win this game tonight against a good Vikings team, but the more I look at them, the less confident I am that they will really make any noise in the Playoffs, if they do not collapse.
Sam Darnold definitely looks better than he ever has, but the Vikings offense as a unit is really not producing to the level where people think this is a Top 3 offense in the NFL. Why is that? Darnold is still seeing ghosts. Darnold is tucking and running often, while that is nice and it is productive, it is still leading to a lot of punts. At least last week it did.
Both teams have a lot on the line. Rams lose, and they probably lose Kupp to a trade. Maybe even Stafford before 2025, the end of the Rams Super Bowl dynasty! Such tragedy.
If Vikings lose, does this spell the end of hype train for the Vikings? Are they at best a 1st Round Exit team?
A lot on the line, this could feel like a NFC Championship game.
I personally would not wager on this game, but there is a Prop I like.
