ORIOLES vs. ROYALS vs. YANKEES

Winner of the Orioles/Royals series plays the Yankees. Orioles bats are sexier than the Royal bats, but the Royals have pitching. Corbin Burnes is a MUST-WIN game 1 if the Orioles are going to advance. If Orioles lose game 1 it is over, and Cole Ragans does matchup well with the Orioles. In the end, I do expect Orioles to take advantage of that home field. However in the end, end. I expect the Yankees to dominate either team. Yankees have the pitching and the hitting that both the Royals/Orioles wish they had.

YANKEES ADVANCE

ASTROS vs. TIGERS vs. INDIANS

Winning the World Series is all about being hot at the right time and finishing strong. No team is hotter than the Tigers, but the Astros are a team that would be a #1 seed if it was not for injuries, and now they are healthy. Even if Skubal somehow wins Game 1, Astros are taking the series. No team is a bigger fraud this season than Cleveland. They have a great bullpen, but a starting pitching staff that is not what they need it to be to make a world series run. If Jose Ramirez is silenced,  Indians have no chance.

YANKEES vs. ASTROS

Very exciting series, this is definitely what MLB needs in order to get the viewers to compete with NBA/NFL going on at the same time. Will be very fun to watch these two teams play baseball in October. I will give the edge to the Yankees on Home Field advantage, literally anything can happen in this series.

PADRES vs. BRAVES vs. DODGERS

This Braves team is really not the same team without Ronald Acuna/Austin Riley. Pitching staff is okay, and there is still some offense on this team, but the Padres have all the offense the Braves do not have, as well as a great pitching staff themselves. Game 1 could goto the Braves, but Padres at home should be able to take care of business. Padres vs. Dodgers is how the season started in Japan, and now they play in the playoffs. Padres could easily upset the Dodgers, but I will give the Dodgers Home Field advantage as enough of a reason to give them the edge. Dodgers have always been the older brother to the Padres.

DODGERS ADVANCE

BREWERS vs. METS vs. PHILLIES

Just like the Tigers, the Mets are that hot team in baseball that came out of nowhere to make the Playoffs. That is usually all it takes to guarantee a long post season run. Brewers are not a playoff team, they are lucky the NL Central was garbage guaranteed them an easy road to the playoffs. Sure Brewers have some offense, but I will take the hot Mets. As good as the Mets run has been, Phillies will shut the door on them as they are a superior team with much much better pitching.

PHILLIES ADVANCE

DODGERS vs. PHILLIES

MLB needs this to be the NLDS just like the American League needs Yankees/Astros. This will be a battle between two great teams and a ton of All-Stars. The outcome could go either way. I will go with Phillies as the winner only because they will have a much easier path to facing the Dodgers. There is a good chance Dodgers choke the round before, Dodgers pitching does not seem ready to be clutch in the playoffs.

PHILLIES VS. YANKEES

Will be a classic World Series with two powerhouses. Both teams have strong pitching and strong hitting. Both teams combined could put up 162-0 season. In this situation, I will go with the Yankees as the World Series champion due to the fact that if Soto/Judge make it this far, you just know they will be too clutch to slow down.
