The Madden curse is spreading like a disease to the 49ers. CMC is now likely out for the season with the news he is going to Germany to see if he can fix his injured Achilles. In the first BEAST or BUST of the season, I wrote about Jordan Mason. In the article I call Kyle Shanahan a POS for lying to everyone all preseason saying CMC will be healthy for Week 1, they are just holding him out because it is the preseason. Which made sense, he does not need to take any preseason hits. Well, he lied again. After the Week 1 performance, Shanahan said CMC would have played if it was a Playoff game, making us think he will be back by Week 2/3 latest.

Well now it is Week 4, and it went from ankle injury to an Achillies injury, and nobody in the USA can figure out how to fix the Achilles of CMC. So he is going to go with a surgery they used on Kobe in Germany, most likely. It gave Kobe two more years on the court with heavy minutes to close out his career, RIP to the legend. With the surgery, CMC will likely be ruled out for the season.

With CMC out for the season, the 49ers will see if Brock Purdy is the real deal. Brock will rely heavily on Deebo Samuel, oh wait he is injured. He will rely heavily on his safety blanket George Kittle, oh wait he is injured. So now it is Aiyuk and Jennings, and of course Jordan Mason for Brock to make magic happen.

While both Kittle and Deebo could return in October, you never know with Kyle Shanan anymore. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, as George Bush said, you cannot be fooled again. WE WILL NOT BE FOOLED AGAIN. Jauan Jennings is a safe WR3 for the rest of the season even when the 49ers are back to full strength. Assume CMC is out for the season and the 49ers have a new identity. Even when Deebo returns, he will be lined up at RB sometimes while Jennings will be WR2/1.
