When Cam Newton was in his prime, Cam Newton was easily the most exciting Fantasy QB to watch since Michael Vick. Cam had EIGHT seasons with the Panthers where he was their QB, only a handful of them were good. In BEAST DOME EYES he was overrated by all the Sheep nearly every year. A very common article title used back in the day.

Anthony Richardson in my eyes is Cam Newton volume 0.7. He is not as good as Cam Newton, at least he does not carry the same swagger that Cam Newton carried. Anthony Richardson as a throwing QB is average at best as of right now. He is good, he makes good throws, but let us just say if he had the mobility of Tom Brady, Anthony Richardson would not be in the NFL.

While Anthony Richardson’s mobility is what makes him special, especially as a Fantasy QB. The problem is he has already reached his quota of concussions in just one season. Richardson did not care about getting tackled, he would even plunge into the hit for an extra two yards. Those hits added up fast and twice in one season, Richardson suffered a concussion. I expect him to run far less in year two. While Richardson running far less still may be enough rushing yards to make a solid fantasy impact. His passing numbers will not be enough of a supporting actor and you are leaving yourself dry more often than not.
