Clarke Schmidt was a pitcher I wrote about as a MUST GRAB before the All-Star Break. Since that article he sits with a 1.80 ERA. Schmidt just shut down the Rangers of all teams in hitter friendly Yankee stadium. Clarke has been sharp and now he goes to Oakland facing a team that has not been hitting well at all. In fact, German just threw a perfect game against them. Look for Clarke to continue German’s performance with an encore of his own.

Hulk Hogan Harris is a soft lefty that throws meatballs over the middle of the plate. Yankees offense is feeling hot after a breakout 11 run performance last night against the A’s. Stanton finally got a bomb, Bader is feeling good, even Donaldson got it going. The Yankee lineup is strong and Harris will have a lot of trouble getting through it, front/middle/back. There is nothing scary about the soft lefty Harris and if he continues pitching the way he has, this could be the beginning of the end of Harris as a pitcher in MLB.
