FANTASY FOOTBALL THURSDAY NIGHT LIGHTS WEEK 7
CALL OF DEANDRE
By Muntradamus
BEAST DOME NATION.
The Saints and Cardinals offense have both underperformed this season. Kyler Murray is more associated with Call of Duty the video game, than any potential MVP race. Jameis Winston and the Saints WR core has been less than 100% healthy and Alvin Kamara has yet to score a TD.
The Saints have Winston back, still no Michael Thomas, and now no Jarvis Landry. Chris Olave returns after being knocked out to being a limb duck only a couple weeks ago. The Cardinals secondary has not been great, but it has been rock solid enough to not let any QB just have their way completely. Hard to imagine Winston falling in that category in his first game back. Also have to factor in Taysom Hill to make plays with his legs at QB. Running the ball will not be very easy either for the Saints either, but it can be effective. Look for the Saints to rely on Kamara on the road. Saints do not want Jameis Winston to unleash 30 pass attempts.
The Cardinals offense has been as much of a letdown as the Broncos offense this season. Kyler Murray forgets how to play Football until the second half, and the passing game is more or less Kyler Murray running game. DeAndre Hopkins returns and the timing is more or less mandatory with Hollywood Brown suffering a foot injury. Marshon Lattimore is also out for the Saints, so nobody can guard Hopkins. Look for Kyler to remind the league that he has the best WR in the game and that is why he had a slow start. Running the ball will not be easy for the Cardinals, and at this point four hours before gametime, we do not know if Conner is going to play. Benjamin is fine, Conner is definitely better. Conner could make an impact in this game, but less than 100%, this is a Kyler Murray game through the air and with his feet.
The Saints will run and try to control the clock. Kyler will run and throw and try to control the clock. In the end, the Saints defense is no longer the Saints defense of Christmas past, especially with Lattimore out. The Cardinals offense is ready to make a statement.
