FANTASY FOOTBALL
ALWAYS SONY IN NEW ENGLAND?

BEAST DOME NATION.
Every single season since Tom Brady started his GOAT legacy, the Patriots have been stacked with viable Fantasy RBs. From Laurence Maroney, to Shane Vereen, to Stevan Ridley, to LeGarrette Blount, to Kevin Faulk, the Patriots have always been stacked at RB. Most often the Patriot’s RB disappoint as Belichick puts RBs in the doghouse faster than Kylie Jenner dates a new NBA player.
The Patriots last season were once again full blown RBBC with Rex Burkhead, James White, and either Michel or Harris. Rex Burkhead is gone, which means maybe for the first time, the Patriots will have some consistency at RB?
Every season I write a Bust article on Sony MichelĀ (2019)
Every season it comes true (2020)
When you analyze what happened last season with the Patriots. When Damien Harris took over for Sony Michel who got injured. Damien Harris ran like an RB possesed who should be the starter. Multiple 100 Yard games, and a rush per carry of 5 yards. Harris was the only thing the Patriots had going for them. However to completely take Michel out of the equation is just not what the Patriots are going to do, nor did they when both were healthy in early December. With both Michel and Harris being so similar in their physical running approach, it is hard to count on either player offering a lot of consistency. You already know James White is going to be the 3rd down RB as there is not a better 3rd RB in the NFL. Or maybe Tom Brady just gave him that vibe.
The most important factor of Sony Michel and Damien Harris game in Fantasy Football is the goal line TD. With the addition of Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith, along with the fact that Cam Newton has no problem stealing all the thunder with his goal line TD runs. The Red zone will be more like the Unpredictable Zone in the Patriots offense.
I have not looked at any Rankings nor do I plan to. But if there is any Fantasy Football website that suggest any of these Patriot RBs (James White/Sony Michel/Damien Harris) are viable picks. They are doing nothing but banking on an injury because when all three are healthy, all three will make each one, a RB3 at best and even that is too generous in my humble opinion.
