FANTASY FOOTBALL THURSDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
THE PRICE OF CMC (Week 8)

BEAST DOME NATION.
The Fantasy Football regular season is almost at the halfway mark. Still, we continue see horrible Thursday Night Football games. This week we have a battle of the two last place teams in the NFC South. We should expect Rain and Humid weather. Sounds like Hawaii, but is North Carolina. Wind is not supposed to be a factor, but what is a factor is knowing if Christian McCaffrey is playing in this game.
#THROWBACKTHURSDAY
SHEEP #1 PICK CHRISTIAN MCCAFFREY
Assuming that he does, even though if I am the Panthers I would sit him out and make sure he is full 100% healthy for the long-term of his career. Cannot risk it with rain and a muddy field. Grady Jarret coming down on CMC who knows what your ankle will do in those conditions. Even though the Panthers are currently 3-4, there is very little chance they are making the playoffs. Especially with that defense. After losing Kawaan Short, the Panthers have a running gap that can easy be filled by strong RBs. Todd Gurley fits that mold perfectly and should get a heavy dose. Matt Ryan can do what he wants to this Panthers Secondary that is on their third defensive rebuild since losing the Super Bowl back when Cam Newton was MVP of the NFL.
Now Cam Newton looks like he is at the end of his journey on this one year deal.
Back to the game. The Panthers can move the ball against the Falcons defense. If CMC does play, expect both him and Mike Davis to get a heavy dose of the touches. No reason to be overly aggressive when you can keep Matt Ryan + Julio Jones + Calvin Ridley + Todd Gurley on the sidelines. Look for the Panthers to try to milk 7+ Minute drives. Falcons Defense is very bend, don’t break. Meaning they will let teams drive the field, but they do tighten up in the red zone. However, the Panthers have a lot of weapons and they can break that mold.
If this game was in a Dome, it would be a nice high scoring shootout, Julio did not play in that game a few weeks ago. Now we have horrible weather and two defenses that are below average.
