FANTASY BASEBALL WAIVER WIRE. TRADE MARKET (PERIOD 3)
FANTASY BASEBALL
WAIVER WIRE. TRADE MARKET
(PERIOD 3)
By Muntradamus
BEAST DOME NATION.
This is the most crucial article you will need to dominate your Fantasy League in Weekly Leagues. One stop shop for everything you need, feel free to ask questions on the bottom. We go by the CBS sportsline Period #, which in this case is Period #3.
First thing is first.
Add Chris Carter in all of your Fantasy Leagues
Did not take long for Greg Bird to go down with a bad ankle. He is Day-to-Day, but Chris Carter is the type of guy who can get HOT quick with his opportunity. Just missed a HR on Saturday Night. Chris Carter and the Yankees have not had any home games yet, do not judge a BEAST by its cover.
PITCHER WIRE
DEEP LEAGUE
Add Bartolo Colon
The ageless one we call, “Big Sexy” is going to be a reliable veteran all season long. He has a nice matchup against the Marlins this week which is definitely a game he can win. Once he pitches nicely in that one, he will be pitching twice the following week. Against SD/PHI. That is a deep sleeper if you need one.
SHALLOW LEAGUE
Add Taijuan Walker
Trust the force has two nice matchups this week, he can easily pitch a gem against the Giants even though they got to him in his last start. Taijuan is facing a group of hitters that have never seen his pitches, Sunday Night Baseball is where Walker concludes the week in his 2 Week start.
Add Tyler Glasnow
Glasnow is the future and his future is bright. He has a nice matchup against the Reds, then goes up against the Cubs over the Weekend. Control has been a problem, but two starts this week from Glasnow should easily net you double digit strikeouts this Week.
BUY LOW
Nelson Cruz
Hitting below .100, there is a small chance you can find someone who might want to sell now and get someone valuable. Nelson Cruz does not come cheap, but he is worth Adam Jones straight up if you can get Cruz in that deal.
SELL HIGH
Adam Eaton
1 HR/2 SB in the first week of the season. Trea Turner is hurt which may force Eaton to see more time at lead off for a short period of time. Eaton has never hit more than 15 HR, never stole more than 20 Bases. Right now he is looking like a guy who can steal 30+ and is a lock for 10+ HRs. Go ahead and trade him while his value is high, soon he will fall back to the #2 spot in the order, and Denard Span who is on just about every Waiver Wire will have comparable numbers when it is all said and done.
