BEAST DOME FANTASY BASEBALL FINAL RANKINGS:
SLEEPERS/BUSTS (2013)
By Muntradamus
BEAST DOME NATION.
Opening pitch of the MLB season is a few hours away. Which means my Rankings will be final for the 2013 season. There was a lot of great content to get you ready for your Fantasy Baseball Leagues. Those who signed up with the V.I.P. Packages were able to have me live at their draft giving them the ultimate strategy.
The Ultimate Strategy was to get Cano or Tulowitzki in Round 1. Kinsler or Reyes in Round 2. 20 HR/40 SB Outfielders such as Jacoby Ellsbury, Desmond Jennings, B.J. Upton scattered through the next several rounds, but a focus on pitching. Then once all of that was filled, you would target power at all of your missing categories, while grabbing three quality closers when you saw they slipped too low.
Every season the strategy is different, but where the MLB game is at today. This was the strategy for 2013. There will be more V.I.P. offers coming soon when the season begins.

I need to pick up two relief pitchers. Which two of these should I pick up? Also, I already have Lance Lynn, should I try to get all SP/RP and try to dominate Wins and Strikeouts while punting the save category?
Carlos Marmol (RP)
Sergio Santos (RP)
Al Aburquerque (RP)
Andrew Cashner (SP, RP)
Wade Davis (RP)
David Phelps (SP, RP)
Carlos Villanueva (SP, RP)
Jeremy Hefner (SP, RP)
Brenda, H2H league? Marmol is tough, he’ll destroy your ERA and WHIP. He’s been struggling this spring so I’ve been keeping an eye on Fijikawa. Detroit RP’s are interesting they are expected to do well, Alburqueque might be one to keep an eye on but they have the committee thing going. I think the SP/RP combo will benefit if your league requires you to fill a RP position. (I just have a pitching spot). I”m playing H2H, weak pitching. My opponent this week is storng in pitching. The plan is to forgo pitching for wins / k’s, picked up David Robertson and will grab Storen tomorrow. Also keeping on eye on FA’s Wilson and Valverde as possible RP add’s
Detroit as a team is expected to do well, not their cureent RP’s.
is there a printer friendly version of the rankings?
thanks
I don’t think so, for the draft I printed out my leagues rankings and wrote Muntz’s rankings next to the player.
This is a Rotisserie league where I can change my lineup every day.
Roto is tough to give up on a category. Do you have any RP’s? In the Roto League last year I was dealt a bad RP hand. Alot of injuries early on help me out. I never took over the category but maintained. Keep a eye on the waiver if anybody drops somebody ranked higher. Are you deep at any position that you can make a trade?
Right now the only RP’s I have are Lance Lynn, Casey Janssen, and Ryan Madson.
I’m pretty deep at OF with Adrian Gonzalez, Mark Trumbo, Matt Kemp, Josh Hamilton, Josh Reddick, Ryan Ludwick, and Trevor Plouffe. I’m playing Gonzalez at 1B and Trumbo at 3B right now.

Just a heads up, while looking around Marmol got pulled after a bad 1/3 inning Fijikawa got the save. He might take over sooner. I ended up grabbing him to keep an eye on. (not saying your should, I’m not sure about the Cubs.) You have a great outfield. Check you the teams in your league to see who has some top closers in need of OF.
Motte might be an option, he’s on the DL, the owner might be wheeling to deal?
speaking of Motte, did somebody claim Boggs while he’s on the DL?

No deal.
Gio Gonzalez is the best pitcher in the trade.
Justin Upton is the best hitter in the trade.
No reason to trade two superstars for a group of solid players.
Brian Wilson can be waived.
I am in a points league i just traded james shields and zobrist for tulowitski, what do you think?
I am also close to trading nick markakis, melkey cabrera, and r.a. dickey for matt kemp and ian kennedy, would that be good?
