PLAYERS TO ADD FOR WEEK 14

*These Are Players Owned in Less than 80% of Leagues who should be added.  The players above should all be added as well.

QB

RUSSELL WILSON – QB – SEA

While everyone came into this season hoping that Matt Flynn would be the QB for Seattle.  Russell Wilson has made everyone forget he even exists.  Russell is running this Seattle offense as efficient as any QB can.  His running ability makes him an interesting play, and someone you can possibly use this week if you are streaming QBs.  Having Sidney Rice as a star WR makes Wilson more valuable than you think.

TIM TEBOW – QB – NYJ

You may laugh at this now.  But when it is Week 15 and your opponent has Tim Tebow playing against you on Monday Night Football, you may be a little nervous.  There is a chance he may not even start this week or next, but in case you hear hints that he is.  Tebow is easily a player than can rack up double digit points with his running alone every week.  Do not drop anyone valuable to add him, he is a speculative add until he is officially the starter.

Jets Fans may stop showing up to games if the team goes with McElroy over Tebow for more than just Week 14.  Even Week 14 would be too much as it makes no sense why the Jets do not give him a chance.

Tebow has what it takes to win games.  That’s what Jets Fans want to see, and need to see.

RB

JONATHAN DWYER – RB – PIT

Just in-case Dwyer is a FA in any league.  Add him, he is the starting RB for the Steelers and Pittsburgh is going to ride him hard to finish the season to find out what they have in the maybe future, “Jerome Bettis.”

Don’t be late for the Bus.

DEANGLO WILLIAMS – RB – CAR

The Panthers have always been a two-back system.  With Jonathan Stewart injured, D-Will has RB#2 potential.

If he is a FA in your league, scoop up the former 3rd round fantasy RB who should get another start with Stewart nursing a high-ankle sprain.  D-Will can rush for 70 Yards with his eyes closed every week.

VICK BALLARD – RB – IND

Donald Brown may have injured his ankle giving Vick Ballard his #1 RB job back.  If that so happens to be the case, make sure to add Ballard as a potential RB#2 in all leagues out of the gate.

Andrew Luck will give Ballard his Red Zone carries.  That is what makes him special.

JACQUIZZ RODGERS – RB – ATL

Rodgers is far from a safe thing these days.  He does have a good matchup against the Panthers, a team that does not know to take running lanes which allows RB to bust out for huge gains.

ATL lost it’s ways on Thursday Night after a successful first drive running the Football with both JacQuizz and Turner, the Falcons then abandoned the game plan   Late in the game Michael Turner fumbled in kill the clock mode.  JacQuizz took over the next time around, and he should continue to see enough touches to warrant RB#3 quality.

JAMES STARKS – RB – GB

Starks is the best ball carrier between himself and Alex Green.  But Alex Green continues to be a threat to his PT.  However the TD run he had against Minnesota was very impressive, it could easily lead to more carries this upcoming week on Sunday Night.  Starks value is on the rise as he is around the low-end RB#3 area in a tough matchup against Detroit.

BERNARD PIERCE – RB – BAL

Pierce is fast and can easily be Bryce Brown JR. if anything were to happen to Ray Rice.

Make sure you add him if you own Ray Rice, if you have the roster space and don’t own Ray Rice.  Good move to beat the crowd.  He has high RB#2 upside.

MONTELL OWENS – RB – JAX

His name sounds like a Talk-Show host.  And that is maybe the best thing you can say about this guy’s game as Jacksonville has no interest in working him as a future RB.  If you need a desperation starter, you can take a shot on Owens.  Just don’t expect numbers that will save your season.

Also keep an eye out to see if Jacksonville opts to go after another RB in the FA market.  *This is how all breakout star stories start.

WR

JOSH GORDON – WR – CLE

He may not play for a pretty team.  But Josh Gordon is exactly what the Browns desire in their #1 WR.  Brandon Weeden trusts this rookie as if he were Anquan Boldin in his prime.  Gordon is a great add in all leagues with WR#2 potential down the line if not right away.

KENNY BRITT – WR – TEN

Britt is making a bad habit of doing nothing until the very end of the game.  That is when all hope feels lost, then he winds up with a 40 Yard TD to make you jump in joy.

Britt is still not 100% from his knee injury, but he is still a player that demands being owned in all Fantasy Leagues with Jake Locker firing 40+ pass attempts a game.  Take your shot with the ex #1 WR in Fantasy Football before the knee injury last year.

CHRIS GIVENS – WR – STL

Bradford is a good QB.  So when Bradford only has one option with Chris Given while Danny Amendola continues to miss game.  Chris Givens is an automatic WR#3.  He used to be a deep threat WR, now he is seeing 10+ Targets a game and putting up huge numbers.

Givens is only useful as a Fantasy Starter, when Amendola is out.

TE

JARED COOK – TE – TEN

It surprised me when I looked at the CBS Owned% of TE to see Jared Cook at 49%.  Cook has HUGE play potential at the TE spot, and is now seeing 10+ Targets as Jake Locker wants to see what this big man.  Cook had a couple of catches taken away because of penalties on Sunday which means his solid game could have been HUGE!

Grab Jared Cook if you want a high-upside TE #2 who could play like a #1.

K

STRATEGY SPECIAL.

QB/K COMBO

SUNK YOUR BATTLESHIP

I would prefer QB/K.

D/ST

You can start picking and choosing from this list.

BILLS – D/ST – BUF

Bills are going to be the defense that takes some of you home to the next round of the playoffs.  Mario Williams is playing extremely well again, the safties are playing well, and they have a good matchup against a Rams team that has problems on their offensive line.

Run with the Bills and their great schedule to close out the season.

  1. Not sure yet about Garrett Graham’s status but if anyone is playing in a deep PPR Yahoo league there is a chance James Casey will be moving up to TE #2. In Yahoo leagues, Casey is classified as RB/TE. If Graham is out with a concussion, Casey could see an increase in targets when the Texans take on NE. Casey has caught 29 out of 39 targets on the season. He averages 3.3 receptions which isn’t really all that great but what is interesting is that Casey is tied for 2nd on the team in TD receptions. Garrett Graham, Casey, and Andre Johnson each have 3 and trail Owen Daniels 6. Now to get even deeper… looking at Red Zone targets: Owen Daniels 3/8, Andre Johnson 2/6, Garrett Graham 5/5, and James Casey 4/5. I’m pretty sure this means that when Graham/Casey are in the Red Zone they are not the focus of the defense and that they have a decent-ish chance at finding the end zone. Does Casey reap the benefit of a missing Graham, does Owens take the targets, or does Arian Foster just eat everything himself? What do you think Munt…am I over thinking this?

  2. Help with line up and who to possibly grab off waiver wire
    QB’s RG3 , Freeman
    RB’s Mccoy(Concussion)really hurts me.. , A Morris, Greene,Reece
WR’s Cruz, Cobb, L Moore, Shorts, Wallace
    TE’s Gates , Meyers
    K – Gostowski
DEF – Broncos,Jets(Just wasnt feeling the broncos vs Tampa matchup)
On waiver wire: Vallard IND (RB) Starks GB (RB)
Chris Givens STL (WR), Danario Alexander SD (WR)
Who would you start in this line up? im thinking like this right now
RG3 (but its hard to ignore the Josh freeman vs Eagles matchup and Ravens are good vs the qb on giving points
    WR – Cruz , cobb
    RB’s – Morris , Greene
    Flex – L Moore
DEF – Broncos.. but should i grab another def off waiver wire? Raiders seem to get some good garbage points
    K-Gostowski

  3. James Starks may have a season ending knee injury. Green is the must add on the waivers or look to see if GB picks up a FA.
